Stop Caring About What You Think People Are Thinking About You !
There is always going to be someone who doesn't agree with you or maybe not even like you. However, you can't let that stop you from pursuing your dreams or goals. What's good for someone else may not be good for you. It might not be the path you are meant to go down. There are many paths to success. Just because I choose a different road to go down doesn't mean that I won't get there. Who cares what people are thinking or what you may think they are thinking? Many times people have preconceived notions anyway.
They have opinions about people they don't even know or haven't even taken the time to know. So, if someone doesn't know me or anything about me, Why would I care what they think? This has prevented many people from doing what they love to do or even trying something different. The majority of people aren't doing things, because they really want to anyway. They are doing things because everyone else is doing it. So, the question you can ask yourself is," If everyone decided to jump off the bridge would you do it too?" If you are in your right mind, of course, the answer is, "No".
Many times we are so wrapped up in what others may think that we can't even hear ourselves thinking. What we think is important too. Stop asking people what they think. Sometimes we ask people what they think. Then, when they do give their opinions we don't want to hear them. Well, it's hard for someone not to give their opinion if you have been asking what they think for the past 10 years. Stop asking them and start thinking yourself.
It's not about them it's about you. It's not what someone thinks you should be doing. It's what you want to do. There are many things that you could be doing. If you feel confident in something than go ahead and do it. If you ask someone they may tell you that you shouldn't be doing that. What do they know anyway?
People make assumptions all the time and 99% of them are just assumptions that's all they are. No one has confirmed anything. Think for a change, "What do I think about it?" Not what so and so thinks. Who cares? This is your life. Sometimes we ask questions we already know the answers to. You have already made up your mind anyway. Why do we need someone else's approval?
The path of self- improvement is about improving ourselves. If we are worried all the time what someone may think, it's hard to feel good. If we feel like crap the majority of the time, we cannot improve ourselves. We must feel good. Stop worrying and for once in a lifetime stop caring what other people think. It's really a great feeling. Start being you.
